Standard Wheelchairs

Standard Wheelchairs have large rear wheels that allow the rider to move and stop themselves, but also have handles for someone else to push them along. The Standard Wheelchair comes equipped with detachable and reversible desk arms and swing-away footrests. It also features dual axle positions for quick seat height conversion and flame-retardant black nylon upholstery. The 24″ rear wheels allow the user to self-propel. There are industry-compatible accessories available for this product. Weight Capacity 275 lbs.

Folds vertically to fit in most vehicles.

All standard wheelchairs have the same dimensions aside from the seat width. The standard seat is 16 inches long.

Transport Chairs

Steel Transport Chairs have an aluminium frame and padded upholstery. They are foldable and have a quick-release fold-down back, as well as padded, fixed full-length arms for added comfort. This type of transport chair has two rear wheels that lock to stay in place.

Cushions

We stock and supply a variety of wheelchair seat cushions. The following is a short list of cushions and their uses.

Back cushions with hot/cold pack: A lumbar support cushion with a space for a hot/cold pack. Used to cool the back or provide warming relief.

Lumbar cushions: Provide lower back support and alleviate back pain. Good for improving spine alignment while seated for long periods of time.

Standard cushions: A gel or foam cushion that adds a few inches of padding to a seat. Aiding weight distribution, providing pressure relief, and preventing imprints on the skin after long periods of sitting.

Wedge and standard coccyx cutout cushions: Provide all the relief of a standard cushion, but with a cutout that reduces pressure on the tailbone and spine. The wedge style encourages pelvic tilt to further reduce pressure on the spine and improve posture.
