Hospital Bed Rails
Hospital bed rails give patients additional support when entering and exiting the bed. They function as an additional layer of safety when installed properly. Preventing falling out of bed while asleep, or when getting transferred out of the bed. Bed rails also provide a handy place for hospital bed remotes to hang and for other accessories to be stored. The rails we sell meet FDA entrapment guidelines. Hospital bed rails are not intended to prevent patients from leaving the bed.
Half Rails covers only the upper or lower portion of the bed and are more portable than full rails. They may also come with a different type of mount that is easier to install and take off. Full Rails, on the other hand, covers the entire side of the bed. They are extendable, allowing the bed to be repositioned without removing the rails.
Halo Hospital Bed Rails
Unlike half and full bedrails, Halo Safety Ring rails are bed safety devices that allow the user to grab the Ring at any angle. The Halo can be installed on a Homecare bed or can be ordered with height-adjustable stands to work with a traditional mattress and box spring system. The safety ring also rotates 90° in either direction, accommodating different user positions and allowing ease of bed exit. Finally, the Halo safety ring exceeds the HBSW and the FDA’s dimensional guidelines against bed entrapment.
Standalone Hospital Bed Rails
If you do not own a hospital bed, or you would like additional support in a traditional bed, we also provide the Nova Folding bedrail and universal bed rail.
Universal bed safety rails provide additional support. Helping you stay steady and safe as you get in or out of bed. They also come with padded handles that are height-adjustable, so you can get the perfect fit with the push of a button. As with our other hospital rails, the universal bed rails use a non-trapping design for support only.
Nova’s folding bed rail provides the support of a full bed rail, while also being able to fold away when not in use. It also extends in length after installation for Full-Fall Protection. Adjusting from 26” to 42” inches with the push of a button. It also comes with a convenient organiser pouch to keep handy items close by. Additionally, as with all of our bedrails, the bedrail provides support only. Do not use as a restraint and follow the FDA’s guidelines against entrapment.
